About the Artist/Site
Elmer Long has been working on his Bottle Tree Ranch for approximately fifteen years. His site is dotted with hundreds of welded "trees" decorated with bottles and found objects, many with humorous overtones. Many of the objects are automobile/roadside related, and others include decommissioned weapons and military hardware, objects gathered from the dumps, the roadsides, and the general detritus from all of the military activity in this area.
~Willem Volkersz
Update: Elmer Long passed away on June 22, 2019 after a battle with lung cancer. Long's family is currently running the site, and a caretaker lives on the property.
