About the Artist/Site
Built by Mrs. Quigley and her children during WWII. Materials: hardwood cut from their farm; outside walls covered with rocks, shells, petrified wood and fossils. Suspended rooms with flowers and shrubs growing inside the house. Butterfly collection sunk into the floors. Bottle flowers. Outside gardens with stone-embedded concrete objects such as shoes.
